So what’s next?

I still don’t think it has hit me that I am officially back in the states.  I’ve kept a pretty low profile since arriving…only four people know I’m here. My last few days have been spent being bossed around by my furry brother who insists on being picked up and carried around the house (evidence below), spending time with my Mom, and checking on my grandparents every day.

My Mom and Brother – My spoiled brother and I

Some random scientific and genius-like calculations have led me to pick A city in NC as my next destination.  Having lived in big cities like NYC, DC, and Atlanta I think the slower pace might be a good fit for me especially since I’ve just come back from such a laid back way of life. I am giving this new place a 6 month trial period..within this time I will have a good idea of what it is that I need to be doing with the rest of my life. I will have also accomplished everything on my lengthy “to-do” list.

The flexible plan is still to find a quiet place to live so I can piece my next steps together, finish writing this book, and prepare for what’s next. While I don’t expect there to be any scorpion biting, elephant riding, or encounters at the border with an M-16 and an angry Asian officer I think this will be just what I need at this point in time.

I’m leaving here in the morning for a road trip to DC to meet up with friends for a week and then I’m headed down to North Carolina.

I’ve never been afraid to take a leap of faith and do something daring and unexpected. I guess you all have gathered that from the random adventure I’ve been on for the past few months.  I always know that if things don’t work out in the end I can be proud of the fact that I made the attempt. Do I have every detail of my “next steps” figure out? Umm…NO. But I’m going to lead with my heart, remain open and flexible along the way and take each day as it comes.

Peace and Blessings,

Miss Venus
